NOUGAT

Hand-rolled soft nougat made with honey, sugar and egg whites, enriched with toasted almonds and red berries, which add a pleasant fruity note and balance the sweetness of the nougat. The combination of crunchy nuts and soft texture creates a refined and well-balanced confection.

This soft nougat is handcrafted in Irpinia, in southern Italy, an area with a long-standing confectionery tradition. Fontana FORMIELLO torrone is made in small batches, following a traditional recipe and carefully worked by hand to achieve its distinctive soft texture and even distribution of ingredients.

Ideal enjoyed on its own as a sweet treat, this torrone is perfect served at the end of a meal, paired with coffee, or offered in small pieces alongside dessert wines.

Italian toasted chopped almonds (Filippo Cea) (23%), honey (23%), cranberries (18%) (sugar, cranberries, sunflower oil), glucose syrup, pure cane brown sugar, icing sugar (pure cane brown sugar, corn starch), fondant sugar from pure cane (cane sugar, glucose syrup, water), egg white powder, wafers (potato starch, sunflower oil), powdered vanilla.

PREPARATION
Remove the wrapping and cut the nougat into small pieces using a sharp knife. For easier slicing, allow the nougat to rest at room temperature before serving.

COOKING TIPS
Nougat is best enjoyed at room temperature to fully appreciate its soft texture and aroma.

COOKING IDEAS
Serve as part of a dessert platter, alongside coffee or espresso, or pair with dessert wines such as Vin Santo or Moscato. Nougat can also be chopped and used to add texture to desserts, yoghurts or ice cream.
